A first look at my pygmy hippo collection πŸ¦›

Hey Reader, How are you today?? I've been on my computer so much this past week getting ready for this launch, editing, listing everything, etc.

We’re officially one week away from my Pygmy Hippo Collection release… πŸ¦›

The collection officially launches at 8am on September 4th, which is National Wildlife Day (and my birthday!), so I wanted you, my newsletter subscribers, to get a first look at everything before launch day so you can start picking out your favorite hippos to adopt!

So...

this is your preview!! πŸ¦›

There will be original watercolor paintings in the collection, along with new stickers, prints, and cards featuring some of my favorite little hippos.

πŸ’š The prices:

I want you to be ready for the collection release, so I'm letting you know the prices of each artwork now ahead of time so you can get an idea of which hippo(s) you want to adopt! :)

πŸ’š This collection is supporting pygmy hippo conservation

One of the most important parts of this collection is that I'll be donating 20% of every original painting to IBREAM, an organization dedicated to pygmy hippo research and conservation.

Pygmy hippos are facing increasing threats in the wild, and I wanted this collection to do more than just celebrate how ridiculously cute they are. I wanted it to help support the people working to protect them, too.

I'll share more about IBREAM and their work on my website when the collection launches.

Here's what to expect:

September 4 at 8:00 am central time:
The entire collection will go live in my Etsy shop!

I'll send you an email right at 8 am with the link, so you'll be able to see everything and shop the collection as soon as it's available.

Later that day, I'll be sharing the collection publicly on Instagram and elsewhere.

Until then, take a look through the paintings above and start deciding which little hippos you have your eye on to adopt. πŸ‘€

I can't wait to send these out into the world. I've become way too emotionally attached to these tiny hippos, and I hope you'll love them as much as I do. πŸ˜‚

Thank you for being here and following along with my work. It really means a lot to me.

If you already have your eye on one, I’d love to hear which one- hit reply! :)

I went to the Gulf Breeze Zoo last week and got to meet their pygmy hippos, so I'll finish this email by showing you this cutie:

Best,

-Katie

Hi Reader, How are you? I'm going to keep this short because you might have some exciting plans for the holiday weekend. My plans are to paint, work in my shop, & paint some more, but that's fun for me! I don't have too much to share because my week has mainly been painting these lil canvases for our launch coming up in a few weeks (I hope you're as excited as I am!!), as well as working on a secret commission, and of course packing up all of your orders. I thought it would be fun to tell you...

Hi Reader, How are you? I wanted to send you a quick update from the week. I've added some new things in my shop this week, as I've been trying to update it for the holidays. Speaking of the Holidays, they are sneaking up faster than you probably realize. There are only 61 days until Christmas. 😱 I bring this up to let you know that I am fully booked on projects right now, I have several to finish up before my upcoming travels and then several last minute original painting commissions for...

Hi Reader, Happy Friday! I hope you've had a nice day. It's crazy to me that October is already halfway over. I think it's my favorite month because it's the middle of my favorite season, Autumn. πŸ‚ I'm trying to make the most of enjoying every moment I can, but I'm not going to lie I'm a little overwhelmed at everything I have to get done in the next month before I go to Hawaii so I'm spending way too much time at my desk instead of outside. I am LOVING this project though so it's worth it....
